Warwick Wesley Guild was inaugurated on 21st October 1895, two years after the
present church in Barrack Street had been built. It was one of the earliest
Wesley Guild meetings in the country. The Wesley Guild was a national
organisation within the Wesleyan Methodist Church which encouraged local
churches to form Guilds and organise regular weekday meetings for members and
friends with Cultural, Christian Service and Recreational themes.
Declining attendance numbers caused the Warwick Wesley Guild to cease meeting
in 1965 but it was revived in the 1980s and continues to flourish to this day.
The Guild meets twice a month on the first and third Wednesday evenings from
October through to April, with a break during the summer months. It meets in
Warwick Methodist Church Community Centre, in Barrack Street and we would be
delighted to welcome you to our meetings
