A Warwick Psalm

(With gratitude to the writer of Psalm 122)

I was delighted when my friends said “Let’s go to church today!”.
How good it is to worship here, in this beautiful place.

Warwick is a historic town
and in the centre are many churches.
That is where all different denominations gather
to praise the name of the Lord,
according to God’s commandments.
That is where we all seek to be honest
about our shortcomings before God.

Pray for our town to thrive:
“May all celebrate Warwick’s uniqueness!
May there be justice within our town
and love and security within our homes.”
For the sake of all who live and work here
I will say, “Peace be with you.”
As I worship God in my daily life,
I will pray for you.
Amen
